Privacy Policy
How Spawnside LLC (Florida) collects, uses and shares your information, and the choices you have. Spawnside is for adults 18 and older.
1. Information we collect
You give us:
- Account: your email and display name. If you sign in with Discord, Google or Twitch, we receive the basic profile you approve (username, ID, avatar) — never your password for those services.
- Your content: posts, messages, crew/org/event details, builds, and images you upload (avatar, screenshots).
- Age confirmation: that you confirmed you are 18+. We do not store your date of birth.
We collect automatically:
- Usage and device data: pages viewed, actions taken, browser/device type and IP address — to run and secure the Service and see roughly where traffic comes from. Not precise location.
- Local storage: small data in your browser to keep you signed in and remember preferences. Not advertising tracking.
2. How we use it
- run the Service: accounts, finding crews, posting, messaging, organizations and events
- keep people safe: moderation, blocking, reporting, enforcing our Terms and Guidelines
- protect the Service: security, preventing spam, abuse and fraud
- communicate: service messages, and — only if you opt in — reminders and digests you can unsubscribe from
- improve the Service
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for third-party advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run Spawnside for us under contract: Supabase (database/accounts), Cloudflare (hosting), and Discord, Google, Twitch (the sign-in you choose, and Discord for features you enable such as joining a run's voice channel)
- Other members, for what you choose to make visible (display name, the crews/runs/orgs you post or join). Guests do not see your email
- Legal and safety — if required by law, or to protect Spawnside, our members or the public
- A successor — if Spawnside is sold or merged
4. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences and keep the Service secure. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. You can clear this data in your browser; some features may stop working.
5. Your choices and rights
You can see, correct, export or delete your information by emailing support@spawnside.com, and you can delete your account at any time.
California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may ask to know, delete and correct your data, and we will not discriminate against you for it.
EU/UK (GDPR): our legal bases are performing our contract (your account), your consent (optional emails), and legitimate interests (security, improvement). You have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object and port, and to complain to your authority. Spawnside operates in the United States, so data is processed in the U.S.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to run the Service. When you delete content or your account, we remove it from the active Service; backup copies age out routinely. We keep limited records longer where the law requires or to resolve disputes.
7. Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and keeping member data off public pages. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and any authority as required by law.
8. Children
Spawnside is only for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and will close and delete such an account. If you believe a minor is using Spawnside, email support@spawnside.com.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will post a new "Last updated" date, with reasonable notice for material changes.
